Deadline CLOSED - The 2023-24 PLCS Foundation Scholarships
The Papillion La Vista Community Schools Foundation partners with alumni, community members, businesses, and generous friends to support graduating PLCS seniors who continue their educational journeys beyond high school. The Schools Foundation Scholarship Program helps students pursuing both associate and 4-year degrees as well as vocational and trade schools.
“My parents struggled because of the pandemic. My mother was unemployed for a month and my dad was laid off from his job. I also have a sibling in college. A scholarship will help me pay for college because the cost of tuition and other fees can be very difficult to pay.”
-PLCS Graduate
Scholarship offers help students decide if they can afford to attend college. Without scholarships, many would opt out. In 2023 alone, more than 78 graduating students received Foundation scholarships. That means that 78 Monarch and Titan graduates were given opportunities that were not otherwise possible.
“I was raised by a single mother. Money was always scarce. I will be the first college student in my family. Without scholarships, I would be unable to attend college.” - PLCS Graduate
A legacy program, the Foundation has awarded more than $1 Million in scholarships to PLCS students since the program started. Hundreds of lives have been changed for the better thanks to the generosity of donors.
"My family never had a lot of money. My parents divorced in 2008. Between my mom’s and dad’s houses, I have 8 siblings. Neither of my parents went to college so I want to set that example for my younger siblings. I want to earn my degree and not have to worry about finances like I did while growing up.” - PLCS Graduate
