La Vista Middle School Conversation Garden
We are raising funds to help La Vista Middle school with the maintenance and upkeep of a planned "Conversation Garden". The conversation garden will provide a space for students to foster in-person relationships away from the influence of social media.
The concept and idea of a conversation garden is exciting and brings many benefits. One concern is sustainability and with your generous donation, the school will have access to funds to help maintain the garden and keep it beautiful.

Primary Goals:
- Encourage connection with peers and nature
- Mitigate the negative effects of social media on middle schoolers' self-esteem
- Increase resilience and reduce anxiety levels among this demographic
Concept:
The Conversation Garden, located at LaVista Middle School, would feature various plants and seating areas for small to medium-sized groups.
Primary features include:
- Sensory plants, native grasses, and trees
- Variety of seating and gathering spaces
- Physical activities and small-group games
The venue could also serve as a space for school counselors or after-school programs to address mental health topics and coping strategies.
